The team rolled off the trailer at Martinsville with a new truck, and a new attitude. Unfortunately, the obstacles to overcome started right away. After issues in the tech line caused the team to miss practice and qualifying, they had their work cut out for them starting last to try and drive through the field. They kept their foot on the gas. Everyone was part of a total team effort to be running in the top 20 by the last stage of the race. Justin Carroll was driving really well, being able to pass cars on the outside all night long. After adjusting on the car and getting it driving a lot better, Carroll had his sights set on his best truck finish to date. However, with about 40 laps to go, the number 45 truck of Kaden Honeycutt plowed through the 32 of Brett Holmes, and cleaned out the 90 of Carroll with them. A day that should not have ended up in the wall did, and sometimes that's racing. Honeycutt was called to the NASCAR hauler after the race. After another heartbreak that was completely out of the control of the 90 team, they went back to the shop with their heads held high to begin work on a stable of new trucks so they can be consistently competitive. "Now we can actually race", Carroll said of the new trucks. That was absolutely demonstrated at Martinsville, and the excitement it creates within the team is sure to spark good things to come. Next Race, North Wilkesboro May 18.
